A Booking.com's media representative in Viet Nam says Da Nang is the most searched destination by Vietnamese families for summer 2025 between June 1 and July 31, followed by Nha Trang, Ho Chi Minh City, Da Lat and Vung Tau.

In addition, Quang Nam Province’s Hoi An City ranks 7th and the rest of the top 10 destinations are Phu Quoc, Ha Long and Hue.
These destinations not only provide a relaxing space but also create conditions for families to enjoy meaningful time together, catering to the diverse needs of travellers of many generations.
According to Booking.com search data from June 1 - July 31, 2025, beach trips (61%) and nature exploration trip (59%) continue to top the list of choices for Vietnamese families, followed by trips to big cities (45%).
For outbound travel, Bangkok (Thailand), Tokyo (Japan) and Singapore are top three most searched overseas destinations by Vietnamese tourists. This is also the second consecutive year that these cities have appeared on the list. Notably, 8 out of the 10 most searched destinations are in the Asia-Pacific region, thereby affirming the sustainable attraction of the region for family vacations in June this year.
Edelman, the media representative for Booking.com in Viet Nam, reports that summer is a time when many Vietnamese families begin planning their mid-year vacations. According to their findings, 65% of Vietnamese tourists see travel as a valuable opportunity to spend quality time together.

According to Booking.com, families primarily travel to enjoy quality time together. In fact, 88% of parents view travel as an opportunity for their children to experience diverse cultures and gain enriching experiences. Additionally, 59% of parents are eager to explore new dishes and local specialties during their trips.
This shift in mindset is evident in their planning, with 58% of Vietnamese parents prioritising annual travel, regardless of their circumstances. Furthermore, 41% of these parents intend to increase their travel spending in 2025 compared to the previous year to create more meaningful experiences with their loved ones.
Although travel needs and goals have gradually changed, the destinations that Vietnamese families are most interested in for summer vacations are still quite familiar and have a good tourism environment such as Da Nang.
More Vietnamese families consider travel as a necessary activity in their annual schedule, not only for relaxation and sightseeing but also for emotional connection and improving mental health.
