The Da Nang People's Committee has recently announced a plan to organize water recreation and entertainment activities in the coastal areas and along the Han River.

The plan specifies the types of vehicles that are permitted to operate. Motorised vehicles allowed include jet skis, parasailing boats, banana boats, windsurfing boards, and other motorised types that comply with current regulations.
Non-motorized vehicles permitted consist of windsurfing boards, kite surfing equipment, kayaks, stand-up paddleboards (SUP), personal swimming boards, and other similar types.
All vehicles must meet quality, technical safety, and environmental protection standards as outlined by law before being put into use.
The designated spaces for organising activities are specifically chosen for their favourable natural conditions, minimal impact on the ecosystem, and considerations for security and defense. These areas are the Hoang Sa - Vo Nguyen Giap - Truong Sa coastal route, the Nguyen Tat Thanh coastal route, the coastal area along Hai Van Pass, the coastal area along Son Tra Peninsula, and the Han River waterway from Han River Bridge to Tran Thi Ly Bridge. All of these locations are currently being planned for tourism development and possess relatively complete supporting infrastructure, making them convenient for managing and implementing activities.
The municipal People's Committee has developed a plan aimed at fully tapping the advantages of marine resources and the Han River to create a diverse range of tourism products. This initiative is intended to attract both domestic and international tourists, meet the entertainment needs of local residents, and contribute actively to the local economy.
The organization of water recreation activities is scheduled to take place from 2025 to 2030. Throughout this implementation period, the Da Nang People's Committee will assess the practical needs of businesses, residents, and tourists, as well as will make necessary adjustments to ensure the plan's effectiveness while adhering to relevant legal regulations.
