The Da Nang government has just given a nod to implement the project on building a route connecting the Western Ring Road to La Son - Tuy Loan Expressway (behind the city’s High-Tech Park) with a total investment of VND 1,655 billion.

The about 6.19 km route will have the starting point at the intersection with the Western Ring Road (phase 1), and the end point at the intersection with the southern end of the Hai Van - Tuy Loan Tunnel.

The basic route will comply with the adjusted master plan of Da Nang to 2030, with a vision to 2045 approved by the Prime Minister in Decision No. 359/QD-TTg dated March 15, 2021. Some local adjustments will be made to preserve the protection corridor of Hoa Trung Lake as well as minimise the impact on the current terrain and the operation of the Da Nang High-Tech Park.

The route will be classified as a secondary main urban road with four lanes for motor vehicles. The total roadbed width will be designed at 29 meters, including a 9-meter-wide median strip, allowing for future expansion to six lanes in accordance with the city’s long-term planning.

The project will feature the construction of six bridges with a total expected length of about 1.95 km, including 2 overpasses, 1 flood drainage bridge across the downstream of Hoa Trung Lake discharge gate and 3 terrain overpasses.

Other components will include complete drainage systems, lighting, and related infrastructure. The project will be carried out from 2025 to 2028, with preparation set for 2025 - 2026 and construction scheduled for 2026 - 2028.
